Day 230: Lone Tree

Day 229: Red Rock Pond

The heavy rains have saturated everything...

Day 228: Green Skies

Sometimes, I like to take something normal and mundane, and make it weird and nonsensical. This is one of those.

Day 227: Grasses

I love the lines, textures, and depth in this one. And, it's so simple.

Day 226: Stairway to Heaven

These stairs are actually kind of harrowing, especially if you stop in the middle and think about what you're doing...

Day 225: Garden of the Gods

Taken from Red Rock Open Space.

Day 224: Finally! The first day of fall!

The leaves are just starting to change in Colorado Springs.

Day 223: Remnants of the Old West?

Day 222: Lines

Nothing new - I just really like all these lines...

Day 221: It's a hummingbird! No, wait, it's a moth! No, wait...

It's a Hummingbird Moth??? I stumbled across this guy while I was taking pictures of some butterflies. I was seriously confused!

Beautiful butterflies I saw on my walk the other day...

Day 219: Soft Light

This isn't usually my "style" of photo, but the light in this shot was too good to pass up.

Day 218: One Forty Five

Don't you just love red doors?

Day 217: Powder Magazine

I love this effect for this picture. Post apocalyptic?

Day 216: Baby Doe's Cabin at the Matchless Mine

Exploring Colorado's history...

Day 215: Fishing Through the Storm

Another awesome storm. Joe stayed out there fishing despite the threat of rain, and then actual rain, and lightning and thunder...

Day 214: Road to Nowhere

Playing with some Photoshopping...

Day 213: Brothers, Exploring

I love watching my kids explore their world together...

Day 212: Awesome Storm

An awesome storm approaching Leadville.

Day 211: Butterfly

I'm supremely happy with this shot... Nice to be in the right place at the right time.

Day 210: Purples, Whites and Blacks

I took advantage of the backdrop of the stream for this beautiful shot.

Day 209: Beautiful Bottles

Day 208: Rainy Day Fun...

Life is so good...

Day 207: Leadville Flowers

These flowers in Dianne and Ralph Bertrand's backyard were amazingly beautiful, especially after a refreshing mountain rain!!!

Day 206: Colors and Textures

I just love this one for so many reasons. How about you?

Day 205: Lines and More Lines

Remember that one time it became August and I had to relearn how to multi-task?

Sheesh! 'Tis the season of school, which means that unless it's grading, I'm woefully behind. Such is the case here. But don't lose faith, my friends. I have a bunch of pictures waiting in the queue, and just need the time to upload them. I hope to get a few up tonight, in fact. Hang with me, peeps!

Thanks for your support!

Day 204: Construction Mountain?

I took this at sunset in Stapleton right out front of my friend's house... It reminds me of something out of a kids' movie.

Day 203: Under Construction

Playing with lines, B+W, and texture.

Day 202: Practice

As the new adviser for our school newspaper, I took an intro to advising course through CHSPA, where we practiced our photojournalism skills...

Here's the goalie for Regis Jesuit's field hockey team, with the Rocky Mountains in the background.

Day 201: The Base of Bierstadt

Gorgeous day...

Day 200: Hiking Mt. Bierstadt

Beautiful vistas at Mt. Bierstadt.

Day 199: Stapleton Airport Tower

Eerie clouds over the airport tower...

Day 198: Clouds at Sunset

I just got back from the Midwest, where they have the most spectacularly beautiful and colorful sunsets, which we generally don't get in Colorado Springs. But last night, these clouds kept me captivated for close to an hour. I took almost 200 shots, and these seven stood out to me. I hope you enjoy them!
